At Hollyn Woodworks, we handcraft each piece with care and ensure your order is packaged and delivered safely. Because our work ranges from small homewares to large custom furniture, our shipping policy sets clear expectations for delivery, timeframes, and responsibilities.
1. Processing & Lead Times
Custom Orders:
Lead times vary depending on the complexity of the project and current workload. Estimated completion and delivery timeframes will be provided when your order is confirmed.
Once completed, items are prepared for shipping or collection within 3–5 business days.Standard/Pre-Made Products:
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 5–7 business days, unless otherwise stated.
2. Delivery & Shipping Options
Local Delivery (Adelaide Hills & Surrounding Areas):
We offer direct delivery within our local service area. Delivery fees are quoted based on location and item size.
Customers may also arrange to collect their order from our workshop by appointment at no cost.
Interstate/National Shipping (Australia-wide):
For small to medium-sized items, we ship via trusted courier services.
Large or oversized furniture pieces are shipped via specialist furniture freight carriers to ensure safe handling.
Shipping costs are calculated based on item size, weight, and destination. A quote will be provided prior to final payment.
International Shipping:
At this time, Hollyn Woodworks does not offer international shipping.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping charges are calculated individually for each order.
Any quoted delivery cost must be paid in full before dispatch.
Additional fees may apply for remote or hard-to-access locations.
4. Packaging & Handling
All items are carefully packaged to minimise the risk of damage during transit.
Sustainable and recyclable packaging materials are used wherever possible.
Oversized furniture will be blanket-wrapped or crated depending on the freight method.
5. Delivery Timeframes
Delivery times vary depending on the courier/freight company and destination.
Local deliveries are typically completed within 1–7 business days after dispatch.
Interstate deliveries may take 7–21 business days depending on distance and freight scheduling.
Hollyn Woodworks cannot guarantee exact delivery dates but will provide tracking details where available.
6. Responsibility & Risk
Once items leave our workshop, they are in the care of the delivery service. Hollyn Woodworks is not responsible for delays caused by couriers, freight carriers, weather events, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Risk of damage or loss transfers to the customer upon delivery/collection.
Customers must inspect items upon delivery and report any transit damage within 48 hours with supporting photos.
7. Missed Deliveries & Redelivery
If no one is available to receive the delivery, re-delivery fees may apply.
Customers are responsible for ensuring accurate shipping details are provided at the time of order.
